... At Moore Care, we consider recruiting the right staff to be one of our most important jobs. Our Carers see their role as a vocation; a calling, not just a job. Here are a few words from some of them...

" We embrace diversity. We care more. We are Moore Care. The people I support are my second family. Getting paid to bake cake!! What's not to like? Taking our service users out and about in the community is the best fun ever.

A few years ago I would not have entertained the idea of working on Christmas Day. I worked on Christmas Day last year and I can honestly say that my shift that day really was the best shift I have ever worked.

We have ups and downs and challenging behaviours but that is what we are there to deal with: to keep our service users safe and happy in a real home environment. Our service users live at home. Not in a home.

Don't ask why? Ask why not?"

"I started working at Moore Care following my A-Levels as an apprentice. Upon completion of the course, I was employed into a full time post, which I stayed in for three years before becoming a relief staff member when I went to University to study Nursing. Throughout my six and a half years working for Moore Care I was able to develop an excellent standard of knowledge, as well as confidence working with adults who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. The training, support and knowledge of fellow support workers and the commitment and guidance from my managers boosted my personal development, enabling me to continually provide safe and effective care.

The standard of care delivered by Moore Care is excellent and the service users' homes are extremely "homely". I have worked with some fantastic support workers and gained a wealth of knowledge which will aid me greatly as I move into my career in nursing. I will thoroughly miss working in such a rewarding job and for such a great company. I'm truly thankful for my experience with Moore Care "

"I haven't worked at Moore Care long but I am enjoying the experience. The buildings that the service users live in are all bright, comfortable places that feel like home. The service users amaze me every day with what they can achieve with the right support and the bonus are the one providing this support!"

"A company I have enjoyed working for but with service users I have LOVED caring for "
