Moore Care Limited was formed in 1994 by Jim and Trishia Ashcroft providing domiciliary care for adult service users with learning disabilities.

In 1999 Moore Care (Registered) Limited was formed providing care home accommodation.

Both companies are registered with the Care Quality Commission and our homes are located within easy walking distance of each other in the Derbyshire town of Buxton.

We aim to provide a home within the community backed up by the highest standard of care. Care packages are tailored to your needs and regular assessments take account of your views.

We particularly believe in making extensive use of the local community, and community facilities on offer.

We have found an abundance of activities in and around Buxton including work experience with local companies, our own art collective group, partnership with a local farm, and a wide range of other activities - all tailored to your interests.

We pride ourselves on never having to use agency staff as we believe that providing a high quality of care requires the high level of commitment and consistency that only permanent staffing can provide.

We have a fantastic, dedicated team of over 140 staff.

In 2018 Moore Care became an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).
